I obtained an LOA for my blog, and have been on hiatus since the beginning of this year. Been so caught up with school work that I haven't got time to rant right here. I am thoroughly sick of being in this concrete jungle named Singapore, really need more time off to relax and chill out. It's been such a long time since I last travelled out of this place, last time I went to an island was 2 years ago? Tioman? Ahh I do miss the beaches.

Bumped into one of my fave lecturers last Monday. (wow it felt like merely 3 days ago la) I must remind myself that today is Saturday -.- And so the starting topic was the iphone, because both of us were carriers. At that point of time, Sheila and Charmaine were with me, and the bff was an iphone user as well. Mr Mark T Tan's wallpaper was one of a diver and a magnificent sea turtle. It was so beautiful and wallpaper-worthy that I didn't believe that the diver was him! You know it's such a rarity for divers to get close ups of sea creatures, and even harder to capture their true colour in the ocean. That picture really blew me away and we dove into a conversation where nemos and anemones ruled the universe. Barracudas, baby sharks and electric eels were the novelty and dangerous. Berjaya & Tioman & Redang. Oh the love.

If you realise, I always mention the beaches. I love the pasir panjang(s) of the peninsula (probably that's cos its the only places I go). If I had a choice, I would run far away from school and reside near the beach. That would be ideal. But who oh who will be willing to marry a girl who just wishes to live near the seas with Flounder fish and Sebastian crab? :P yes please continue dreaming, cari.

Extremely worned out by school projects and relationships. Am tired, and disappointed. Aller C, it's just ONE more proj to go before you're free for the examinations! Relating a situation - I am appalled by an action of one whom I thought was a good friend. A mere release of words lead her to a backstab? oh just great, thanks for ruining my Saturday night plans, not forgetting I was the one who roped you into this plan. How great of you to turn your back against me, you'll NEVER fathom the hurt that went through my heart when I heard what YOU did from another friend. And then you tried being perturbed. I am so, so disgusted in you Z. You may not have done it intentionally, I don't really care, but at least have the decency to CONFIRM first before you give the go?

Oh well, you can't have the best of everything C, am very thankful for my girlfriends who stand by me no matter what, even though we may p each other quite often. At least I know we're equally yoked and are able to cover each other with prayers and encouragement. Am truly blessed by you girls - Sheila, Priscilla, Stephanie, Cheryl & Vanessa.

Events of late include many many submissions and presentations. Boy am I glad they are over. More breathing space. I am not pleased cos I am unable to work my scanner :Z Need to come up with a 26-page FOOD magazine by the end of Tuesday. Is it possible? Always remember that nothing is impossible with God :)

Besides that, I visited the Dialogue in the Dark Singapore showcase in NP, it was an experience I'll never forget. I was stripped off my sense of sight for slightly more than an hour, and went through different exhibits like:

• A park - Carpet grass, trees leaves trunk, hanging bridge (which really shook), mini waterfall down the rock, park bench
• The SIR STAMFORD RAFFLES statue (only managed to feel his feet cos it was so tall)
• A boat ride past the Merlion and the quays, felt the life boays
• City area - real car, postbox, atm, bicycle, crossed the road
• Someone's gate, a dog barking after we rang the bell, can't really recall what else happened
• Marketplace - we got to feel and smell real food! (there was cinnamon!)
• Cafe (was the last stop) where we really bought drinks and enjoyed the fellowship with our group and guide at the tables

It really made me appreciate my sense of sight. No one can comprehend the feelings of being visually impaired unless you embark on the DiD journey. In case you are interested, the tour fees are $20 (adults), $12 (Students, 9 years & above), $60 (Family combo of 2A2C). Your guide will be a visually impaired person, and he doesn't use a walking stick inside. (Visitors were provided walking sticks) And if you are lucky, you might get the Project Superstar winner Kelvin Tan as your guide! :) NP Students taking WISP got to go in for free hehe :P

I also fell sick last week/the week before. I was coughing and sniffing and my voice was severely affected. But I thank God that He is Jehovah Rophi :) Am able to sing again! However this week, I got an infection in my right eye. Doc prescribed me a 2-day mc (which I didn't fully utilize due to presentations), paracetamol (which I didn't use as well) and a viscous eyedrops named fucithalmic/fusidic acid (please say yuck!). The eyedrops stang my delicate conjunctiva, left me tearing furiously. Ahh but for the sake of being cured I will endure. PTL I am much better right now. But how I itch to wear new contacts. WAIT.

CHS' 30th Anniversary dinner @SAJC's hall last Saturday. We had a choir item, and I am so glad we sang so beautifully! :) Moses Lim (the mediacorp comedian) was our guest speaker. Our 8-course meal was fine. I really enjoyed every moment of that night. PTL for 30 years of labour in CHS!

The girls also celebrated Sheila's belated birthday with a dinner @ Food for Thought! :)
Though the time was limited and 2/4 of the girls were very sleepy, it was still good time spent. Really miss having these lovely girls around me in my life. Been so out-of-touch with them, especially STEPHANIE! -.- and Cheryl Soh didn't even come lor, great. We shall meet up soon next week or after next becos I will demand and kick a fuss. hehe

I've been watching GLEE ytd and today, I love that show! Can't wait for the new epi to come out, even my GG has frozen :( ahh what's up with all these shows, I might as well go watch the old ones lol.
