Looking back at old photos, I realise all of us have changed so much! We've blossomed into mature looking ladies. This photo was taken in the wee hours of the new year 2009, with an additional girl (in the centre) Cassandra! :)
Just look at the change in our looks! :) Just today, I was acquainted with my primary school classmate (he's a guy), and I was just reminiscing a little about primary school time. It's really nice to see how much people change as they get older and more matured.And even more so, if you find out that that person had given his life to Jesus Christ! :) Cool right?? I think God's moving even more strongly in my midst so I am even more spurred to build my rlnship with Him and touch other lives! I am actually quite excited! - One of the saturday tuition kids commented that I've stopped wearing dresses. I realise that was quite true, I gotta start wearing my dresses again... Look at how slim I was before!! I need to tone my arms so I won't look like a fat pig!! :S
Haha, go ahead! :) Laugh all you like, I cannot believe how I let myself eat so much icecream till I reached this stage lol. Ernest But now it's over right? :D heh okay I cannot wait for Master Chef to whip up some dishes for us next week!! :) 11:01:00 PM

God has been so good to me, He's my Provider, my Strength, my Hope, my Joy, my EVERYTHING! Seriously, I don't know why but I just want to praise Him with all I have. (Though I am unworthy) But God is worthy to be praised! - Worked at island gwc (which explains my sudden surge of twitter posts regarding icecream), business was really slow today. No one seem to want to buy tubs or cakes at all? And just after I rattled on to twitter, a lady bought a red tub lol!! :) Uncle B popped by for icecream and we parted ways as he went home, and I went to Serene to collect my pay. Stayed there for quite a while before dad picked me up. I realise all the new girls in Island are super duper slim! okay, skinny!!! And I felt like a buffalo standing next to them, really gotta get my slim-ness back! Family dinner at Thomson, ate kampong chicken rice! It is really yummy!! :) But I am so full now la... Now I am home and I really want to go for PNP tomorrow, but I feel bad if I cancel out on Shelly :S I hope she'll understand. Anyway, trying to re-adjust my biological clock. Will sleep early and wake up on time and do more exercises! Pray for me!! ♥ Ernest It's just ONE paper, and after that you'll be free for 7 weeks! press on! anyway by the time you read this your paper would be over? Carissa wants to give a shout out to everyone who has been rooting and praying for her! Right now, my abs hurt a whole lot becos I just chionged my sit ups too soon :( Anyway, with reference to my title, I have now completed 1/2 of my final year in polytechnic. And I am awaiting the challenge next sem. Afterall, Service Management (what I'm taking this sem) is my passion, so I don't know what's in store for me next sem (International Business). I've heard that it will be a whole lot tougher than SM! Aiya, people always say SM is the slackest! But I daresay NOT! We've got our major project, which doesn't give us a lot of benefits yet we slog so hard for it. And sometimes I feel that our integrated project this sem is indeed one of the toughest amongst the specialisations. But once again, thank God for great project groupmates, they've really helped me a whole lot, facing the tough times together... ... and not to mention, our examinations! Heh, at least the big E for me is over for now. It's the holidays, I've got so many things I wanna do. Meet up with people, training, working, my personal project WRAP, and most importantly spend more time with Him. I pray that this 7 weeks will be my most fruitful holiday of my poly life! (After 7 weeks of attachment before! haha) What has happened today? I had my last examination SIS this afternoon, and headed to IKEA to spend some time with Suern and Huiying. It was really nice to just window shop and eat, and enjoy each other's company. Even though I was also complaining that my legs were painful and Suern was grumbling about being tired :S Took an uber long bus ride home and basically wasted my hours away at home, dinner, and watching teevee! :) It feels good to be free!! Gotta wake up early for my driving lesson tomorrow and then head down to gwc for work. And then collect pay!!! An additional $60 is great for some indulgence for Friday's meetup with Shelly, Monday's with _____, Tuesday's with Suern and the gang... Now my mum is nagging me, " You're gng driving tomorrow morning and you're not sleeping yet???!?!" "I've already told you, correct your lifestyle..." (It is now 1am actually) Nest Hahha yeah why else would you reply so late! :P The video is very cool la!!! the waves are magnificent! And the Maker of such wonderful waves is even more Magnificent!!   National Day with the youthies at ECP, Ali and I Just a short post, I am now in the midst of my examinations. On the other hand, I am really thankful I've got supernatural powers on my side! *winks* Super talks with the churchies on Sunday, and playing Choke! :) Studied out today with Steph, good catch up time with this girlllll. I'm planning lots of stuff to do this holiday with these girls. Making our shirt, my secret project wrap, fondue and saboteur etc. Anyway, kindly keep me in your prayers as I sit for my next two papers on: 25/08/09 (Tues) - Service Quality Management I really thank God that my weaker modules are over and done with. I won't dare say I've done well. But I pray and believe, God will bless me with the results I deserve. Ernest Lol you evil! bet you went home and slept like a pig no wonder you didn't reply my text until super duper late! :P Ben showed me a magnificent video of waves and a surfer (you can actually just roll over the link, and play the video in the snap shots) just last night. It really heartened me to know that my God is the creator of the universe, including those waves! It leaves me speechless whenever I think of how great He is. Colossians 1:15-23

Saturday, August 22, 2009 What a Saturday! :O
Carissa is exhausted from running out the entire Saturday. Been up since 5-ish. Snoozed a long time but very appreciative of B who woke me up this A.M. But thank God dad sent me to school. We even had time for roti prata at al ameen (dad says it's good!). Sat for my marketing paper, I focused too much on the wrong concepts. What a waste. Flew down to meet JY at PS to finish up Lam and ZW's present. But ended up at starbucks myself for more than an hour. But that was a relaxing time for me, being able to properly look through my marketing paper with my notes, people watching, and getting really happy when I see people expressing their appreciation. Went back to Bk Timah for tuition and got my pay of $90. I am so glad Hannah mentioned it at such a timely... time? HAHA! In any case, I was actually fretting over not having enough cash in my purse (I actually had zilch at that point), moreover I really didn't want to withdraw cash... You get the idea! :P B met me afterward and we headed down to pp. Dinnered with the cell and I am so excited and glad that B and Jem had so much to talk about. Really happy that Jem could click so well with B. But it gets a little annoying when you want to break into their conversation lol. boy talk. I am encouraged by B's faith and I've definitely learnt a little bit more about his church today. Discipleship training wasn't intensive yet. Was just the tip of the iceberg, the introductions. Having deep talks about issues with the oldies was enlightening. We've gotten our materials and I cannot wait to dive into them! :) Looks like it's gng to rain tonight. Praying for good weather tomorrow for the boys to kick ball in the evening, and for a greater time of worship, and also fellowship with the youthies! :P I miss a certain little brother of mine :( oh well. Pardon me for not updating lately! I think nuffnang will kill me becos I declared that I blog frequently (SO PLEASE DO HELP ME BY CLICKING ON THE ADVERTS IF YOU ARE INTERESTED OKAY?) So many things to thank God for:
Number 1: My course (service management) had our final integrated project presentation on Monday, 3rd of August. The bespectacle gentleman in the middle is the manager of Evergreen Singapore. We've been doing a project for Evergreen and my group was assigned to the outlet at Suntec. The lady who's second from the left is one of my modules lecturer. I really thank God we pulled through this whole project. I must say that I was really exhilarated after my presentation, it was like whatever we've been working for for months had been completed. And it was also by God's grace that I helped my team win the Best Presenter's Award. We received some stationeries and a $10 voucher :) Number 2: National Day this year was spent with my churchmates. We made our way to East Coast Beach for our fellowship and games :) But the day before, we had a pre-national day party at Cassandra's. The girls baked too! Anyway, God was good (He's still good!), as he sent good weather for our beach day! We sure enjoyed playing capstan's ball and tranforming Jedi into a mermaid :) We even attempted to create a flowing skirt for Aloy whilst our kite flew high in the sky. No photos yet as I'm waiting for Mel Sim to load them on FB! hehe Number 3: Random blessings that God has showered upon me. Stuff like shortening the waiting time for public transport for me; giving me wisdom and clarity to be able to get through my CRM test; providing me with a safe journey home each time I return home late; blessing me with great friends; 10-day trial gym membership at TRUE; driving; and so many more, you might have caught some updates on my twitter posts :) Number 4: The heavens rejoice each time a life is saved. I am really touched and encouraged by a friend of mine, who recenty gave himself to the Lord. He has certainly changed a whole lot ever since he knew God in an intimate way. I am really very glad that B's so interested in wanting to pursue a relationship with our Father. This is only right, that we God's children have a relationship with our Heavenly Father! :) I was actually kinda shocked at his conversion (partially becos we kinda broke contact for quite some time), but I am so delighted at this new change in him. Will see him this weekend and I really cannot wait. I thank God for showing Himself to B, this is really a great testimony to show that God can soften the hardest of hearts. Somehow this reminded me of Paul, whom was persecuting the christians before, then when he experienced a personal encounter with our God, he had a 180 degree change. And I pray that God will continue to move and work greatly in B's life so that he can touch others as well. Number 5: Changes, are you willing to embrace them? So many sermons preparing us. Changes are inevitable and we have to "adapt" to them no matter how much we don't like them. We've gotta tell ourselves to get out of our comfort zone, and only then will we be able to have a fresh encounter with God. Cell grouping was reshuffled a few weeks back. I am now in the smallest cell, but we're the oldest. I thank God for my new cell members, and my mentor Rena and Ps Ben, who's in charge of our cell. And I am looking forward to MORE of what God will show us in future! :) We've also had some reshuffling of corporate worship for youth fellowship. But it's all for our good :) I am actually quite excited for our upcoming discipleship course on Saturday. It's gng to be smthg that's different and I cannot wait to learn more! Anyway, jamming with my band on Monday went great. We did a rather tough song but Zontanos managed to pull through despite being slightly handicapped (without another guitarist). I am very glad that Nicholas came for jamming and sang :) I believe there's a purpose why God put me in Zontanos, even as the sole female in the band. Sometimes it's really tough for me, as I've got high standards for myself and the people around me. But God is moulding me and He is showing me new perspectives that I've never thought of before. I am not gng to just give up just becos of some feelings that I may get. My foundation is on Christ the Solid Rock and He will see me through!
- Been studying with Jieyi at Starbucks (today) and Popeyes (ytd), and I'm glad that I'm making some progress! HAHAHA!! Here are my semestral exam dates: 22/08/09 (Sat) - Principles of Marketing Do keep me in your prayers. All are morning (9-11am) papers except for the last (2-4pm). Sheila But we definitely toned up a little! HAHA! At least now we know where our weak points are at! :) The train of his robe fills the temple with glory 11:11:00 PM

Blogger is finally working as per normal :) Praise God heh heh! My life's pretty mundane right now, spent my friday yesterday in school studying in the library. And it was the bump-into-Jeremy-Goh-three-times-in-a-day day yesterday. I met him on the bus to school in the morning. Met him at the atrium around 5pm after that, and then I bumped into him on the bus from school too! :O But I had a good catch up time with this bro-in-Christ, sharings about usher ministry and our churches, and we talked about YJ too! Neh neh neh! :P Neways, thank you Suern for booking the 10seater room yesterday! It was cool studying with you! :) I've been binging a whole lot this week. I'm kinda afraid I'm under some kind of stress, probably a sign that my biological clock is sending me? LOL! Worked at Knowledge today, took over the p5 class. Got my pay! :) Met the churchies - Jem, Mng, Gab, Nich, Mel and Mekoh - at Barcelos in Vivo for dinner. I am still considering if I shd head over to Jeremy's church tomorrow or not. Ahh, I am pretty tired and I'll need to study too. I guess not. Lord, please give me Your supernatural strength and peace to be able to get through my next week.
