At times, we wonder why is life so unfair. why are things left unjustified? why do bad things happen to good people. why do people ostracize some or just plainly wanna give the other party a tough time? why doesn't things work out in school /work.

But I know my Heavenly Father has wonderful plans for me, so I will wait on Him.

SUPER DUPER AWESOME MIRACLE! (MUST READ!!)
You guys must be thinking I am very very mad to blog at such a timing. Yes it just turned 3.00AM on a school night. I have an 8am class all the way till 5pm later on! (thursdays are my craziest days!)

But I really have smthg MINDBLOWING to share! I can't contain it till later HAHA!

FAITH & TRUST

As some of you know, I have an extremely messy house. It's not just my table that's messy, my entire house is, including my kitchen and my bathroom! :X And so, the shoe shelf and doorway is no different. It's cluttered with old stuff we wanna throw out, yet my mum hasn't gone through any of them yet.

And soooooooo, I planned for a climbing trip tmr after school. I was looking for my anasazis/five ten (climbing shoes) around that area. Disclaimer: I haven't climbed for 2 years! So my shoes which were supposed to be in my shoebag had been misplaced by my siblings (or rather, sister), who wanted to use my NP shoebag.

I had no problem finding ONE shoe, it was near the area where my sister has left my shoebag (urgh, I hate the mess!)

But the problem was, I couldn't find the other one!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I spent close to 20 minutes ransacking the whole place in dim lighting (don't ask me why I didn't switch the lights on, the bulbs near my door are all blown -.-), and I got really exasperated!!

You guys probably wouldn't imagine the thoughts running through my head, I was searching every corner and even my computer table! :S It was incredibly late alrdy and if I couldn't find my anasazis, I would just not go climbing and join the oldies for Mel's dinner instead. And honestly, I was alrdy feeling very sick of looking for my stuff in the mess of my home!

And something prompted me to go to the shoe cabinet, I whispered a prayer "Dear God, please please help me find my shoes" and reached for the most unlikely place AT THE SAME TIME, hidden from view by boxes and boxes of shoes.

My hands felt something hard and I yanked it out. IT WAS MY MISSING SHOE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Boy I was literally rejoicing with glee as I walked back to Esmeralda and decided I really should blog it out to share this wonderful testimony!

OUR GOD IS REAL AND LIVING & HE IS OUR HELPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank You so much, God. You are so faithful! ♥

it's the second day of school!
When you do a day event with female instructors,
there's bound to be photos like these.

And we really can't help it because...

...we're just like that! HAHA OKAY DON'T PUKE!

Team SKP with Chief Mojo & Timothy + 3 extras
Team SKP - the ladies!

-
Been pretty caught up with stuff, especially during the last week of my holidays. Met up with some old HA girls (Su Xia, Shelly, Angeline, Jieyi) last monday for dinner, small belated dinner celebration for Van tgt with Clare @OSAKA TOWN at R.C.S.C. on Tuesday, Jamming with my favourite band on Thursday and doing a day event on Friday! My family and I also travelled to Malacca (or Melaka in bahasa melayu) for a short getaway before my school term!

My road trip made me miss about 5 appointments of some importance but nothing beats the undivided company of my family! :) We went round hunting for food- portugese cuisine, chinese cuisine, chendol (or cendol as they call it). But too bad we didn't get to eat our peranakan food :( What left me amazed what that we did not do any shopping at all!! :O A friend asked me if I had bought souvenirs, I immediately told him I hadn't shopped at all! HAHAHA! We watched a movie too! Tsunami at Haeundae! It was very touching though.

School's back, for good (for at least a few months), I am definitely not looking forward to it. Everyday I dread it, but I know I should return back to school with a happy and bubbly outlook. Okay, move over, lousy feelings. Carissa's going to bring FUN back to school, watch out! :)

Jedi Hmm that's good! :) haha it's the last week of hols and I've been super busy too! haha how have you been?
Ernest Ehh then tell me how do you guys identify which is mine la! Yeah, when you reach a certain age, you'll find a lot of friends enlisting in (and you'll find yourself enlisting too! HAHA)!!!
Bings busy busy haha! you don't blog that often either!! :S

2 Timothy 2:22-26

Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. And the Lord's servant must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. Those who oppose him he must gently instruct in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.

So meaningful yet not easy. Purity, righteousness in His eyes. How to be loving to others yet faithful? Having a teachable heart, kindness to others. Selfless love. Lord, please teach me.

IAMJUSTGOINGTORANT.
Dear God, you really need to take me seriously. I am struggling so badly. Sometimes I feel like I can't. Actually, most of the time I can't. I find it so tough to bring myself to love her, whilst schooling. Especially schooling. Lord, it's really pains me to face her each day in school becos I would avoid her totally. I can't bring myself to look at the face of someone who's being so hypocritical, someone who strives her best at everything but fails to see how many people's hurt in the process. I know I should be seeing her in a different p.o.v. but it is really tough. I cannot understand how J did it. I need to look through the eyes of J.C., I need to stop passing judgments at the people I don't like. Monday was cool, though we were in the same place, she didn't acknowledge me, and I didn't make an effort to too, this arrangement was fine by me. It was okay that she could take the guy and I could take nothing. Lord J, I am really okay being alone in classes and all. But today, it was different altogether. You saw me Lord, you saw how I took a seat in class alone and how I turned behind to talk to my friend. But why oh why, would she cut into my conversation with my friend? I didn't need HER to answer me. I was merely talking to my friend! How could she cut in like that when she knew that I wasn't looking for her answer! And then I did the unbelievable. I ignored her totally. Focusing on my friend I just talked to her as if SHE didn't exist. And throughout the entire time before lecture, she was yakking away as if she was the queen, which permitted her to speak absolutely anything and everything. G, I can't help being bitter with her. I am indeed very very unhappy! This is not good at all, this whole thing brought out the unpleasant side of me. And you do know I don't like that. I am sinking in this and I don't want to hold it any longer. My only consolation is that I get to meet the people I love around school, during lunch breaks and all. Other than that I really loathe coming to school. But G, above all, teach me how to love like Jesus. Seriously, so help me Lord. Amen.

TCM Retreat 2009!

Point Community ♥ (not full strength) during Jem's farewell party @Mel's

Today's an extremely special day becos it is the day we hold our annual TCM retreat! Held at NSRCC today, the bungalow was brimming with life when I first stepped into it. Of course, I was warmly greeted by Chari Lee, who apparently was extremely enthusiastic in her welcome! :)

We had fun, we had games, we had worship, we had personal communion time with God, great food, great people = great company = great time spent! And it really dawned to me how much our younger boys have grown. Especially Glow and Ernest. I really enjoyed myself with the girls today - Sus, Chari & Cass. I am glad for this retreat, becos it drew me closer to the other people in my youth. Yes I do care a lot about these special group of people in my life. I am still reeling from the sudden removal of a certain three of my good guy friends, who are in Tekong now... suffering.

Anyhows, I am thankful for the time of sharing with each other, praying. It's these simple acts of love and service to each other that never fails to warm my heart and give me that fuzzy fuzzy feeling. I ♥ Point Community so much!!!

Spent yesterday working at Island @Serene Centre. Haven't worked there in such a long time, I forgot how tiring it really was. My legs and arms were practically crying out for rest. I didn't even have time to eat or go to the toilet! However, the perks to working there was that the environment was more vibrant, you meet different customers and you delight in serving them. But it's really frightening to be washing the dishes, and then turning around to see a huge horde of school kids entering the place. (I don't like it when students come in big groups, it usually means double scoops each and lots of waiting time + long queue) But anyway I bumped into Chong there! :) And there's a new flavour called CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER, and it is really yummy x10000000000000000000000000000! Plus I succeeded in not eating a single scoop of icecream there!! :)

Went down to Fairmont for Ken's birthday party. Didn't stay for the cake cutting. Dinner there was good, I met Qingyuan + his gang of friends and Fedora too! :) Finally after 2 hours of delay, I met Yideeeee! I miss that boy! He holds a special place in my heart (not that I am attracted to him) becos he has the same birthday as me and we've celebrated it together in 2007 before! :)

I only managed to hang out with Yide for a bit before bumping into my mum, which meant I left for home prematuredly. I love to listen to Yide's stories becos they are highly entertaining and silly.

Ben called earlier on around 10.15pm. He was extremely busy before that. But I am glad he is adapting and coping well. I hope Jem is too?

Please do pray for my friends who are undergoing BMT @Tekong!

Jedi Why? What has happened? You wanna email me or talk to me online? Email better la, cos I am afraid you'll talk to me at the wrong time. But most importantly, don't give up talking to God! :) He really hears you, just have to trust that everything will be fine in His time! :) Have faith!
YJ LOL are you talking about the fingernails pic? apparently that's four girls' nails! Not just two or three! :P
Bings What?! another lame person with nothing to do... :P how're youuuuu?

2nd Cor 3:16-18
But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

Seeing in the dark...

I smile with the people I love.

This is the day, that another two of my dear friends enter into the much awaited time of their lives - National Service.
It was certainly a mixture of emotions, sending Jem off into Tekong, dreading bumping into somebody, not being able to see Jer He at all.
I started my day by willing myself to wake + wash up quickly, grabbed the BC from bakerzin for Jem and gng over for breakfast. Jem's dad drove us to Pasir Ris and I got to talk to aunty Sally and Wendy during the journey. Met Jerome at the interchange and queued for the bus. Travelled down to the SAF ferry terminal from there.

Liwei, Sus, Ernest, YJ and Elijah Koh were alrdy there waiting. Had a quick photo taken and boarded the ferry towards Tekong Island. Upon arrival, I realised that Tekong isn't so bad afterall. The recruits have proper facilities and toilets and bunks. The whole place was clean and neat.

During the trip, I kept thinking about what ifs - if I could bump into Ben or KT. I really do wonder how both of them are coping inside. With one in Ninja and the other in Pegasus, I am certain training would be tough, can't help feeling worried.

We were separated from Jem as we went on a tour around the Cougar Company. Witnessed the oath taking ceremony and National Anthem. Sang it with pride and gusto, miss those primary/secondary school days. And as we departed from the auditorium for lunch with Jem, I couldn't help thinking what those boys might have been feeling at that time. The recruits were already lined up outside waiting for their families to pick them up, all of them were anxiously looking towards the auditorium exit. As we were nearing the mess house (is this what it's called?), we spotted Jem, he was looking forward and standing in an attention position, but his mind seemed far away.

I must say these boys are really strong. I can't help wondering how Ben must have felt two days ago.

Our lunch was pretty good. The servings were generous and the food was tasty. People often say it's just a facade, for the first day to impress the parents, and after that in the days to come, the quality would soon deteriorate. But I do believe that it will not turn out SO bad as they've claimed.

A colleague from Island recognised me at Tekong, apparently he's in the same company as Jem. I still didn't see my friend (whom I really didn't want to see lol), but I did leave him a text. Managed to talk to Ben for a little while, Jem also spoke to him for a bit.

Bade farewell to Jem, it all seemed like a daze, I don't even rmb talking to him properly -.-
On the way out of the school, I bumped into Jestyn and Xiaowei who were sending Jer off with his mum. Part of me contemplated joining them becos I really wanted to support Jer, but due to time constraints, I could only convey my support and love through Jes. Really really glad to have bumped into Jes earlier on! :)

Flew down the green line with Aunty Sally, and met Sheila, Pris and Yanping for our manicure @Far East! :) Caught (500) Days of Summer, and ended up not paying attention to it. Had dinner and fellowship. Really refreshing to meet Pris and BFF after so long. We girls should hang out more often like that! Shared stories of youth, friends and jokes! I'll never ever trade those times for anything!

I said to my soul, be still, and let the dark come upon you
Which shall be the darkness of God...
I said to my soul, be still, and wait without hope
For hope would be hope for the wrong thing;
wait without love
For love would be love of the wrong thing;
there is yet faith
But the faith and the love and the hope are all in the waiting.

It's Your song of freedom, now I'm free to dance again.

Sunday YF games - Liwei, Alissa, Marcus Ng, Carissa & Glow

I haven't blogged in such a long time that I don't know where to start.
Been busy meeting up with churchies and friends everyday, doing a camp and driving and tutoring my cousins.
Wanted to blog a few times but didn't have inspiration, also partially becos I didn't want certain people to pry into my personal life. But I guess camp fever (for the kids) have subsided so I am pretty safe to blog right now :)

Saw a dear friend, B, off at the airport. He was returning to UK to continue the rest of his university studies. It's pretty weird not being able to hang out with B as much as before due to our heavy schedules. Things (work) keeps getting in the way, preventing me from having the freedom to hang out properly. But anyhows, I do pray that even though you are in UK, we'll still have our regular chats and UPDATES about *something*. It was really a short and sweet call over msn earlier on. Thank God my mic is now fixed! :) I am glad.

Melvin, Nicholas, ShaoB, Carissa & Jem @ ShaoB's Send off

Besides that, I've been ICESKATING! :)
I love skating, even though I am not very good at it haha!!
We had mini celebrations for two of our churchmates on the ice. Marcus Koh's birthday celebration was held at Seoul Garden (for lunch) and skating with 2nd birthday boy Jedidiah afterward. And a week later, I met the guys (+ Jem's family) at Kallang with a mudpie slice from Island for Jem's 20th! Happy birthday guys!

We (really do) ♥ Iceskating!

Not forgetting that, it's Daniel's and Cassandra's birthday today!
Happy happy blessed 20th to Daniel, and 14th to Cass!!
May both of you continue to use your talents to glorify God! Go drummers! :)

Neways, I had a camp from 24-26th @ my fave campsite JBAC for Fuhua Primary.
I don't know why I keep thinking of Xinmin Sec lol!
Anyway, the kids were sweet and hyper, although they joined some of the instructors in teasing me, they were still teachable and charming children. However, all was not smooth sailing. I thank God for the experience becos its only through these few incidents that His faith prevails. I have certainly understood why He allowed me to go through such trying times. His glory shone through indefinitely! :)
It was during that period that I also got to know some other instructors better too! I even had mutual friends with two of them! :)

Also, besides working, I've been dining out and spending too. Recently splurged on 4 books from SKS. I am really glad I got all of them! :) I've always believed that books are very good investments, you can also keep them for your children! heehee!

Farewell dinners, good friends enlisting into army. This makes me feel so jittery and frightened. I know I have no reason to but I can't help it eh.
Had a mini instructor gathering for Ben + Kian Tat @JP last weds. It was really nice seeing seeing Xinyi and Shuxian, and David & Danson, with Amelia and her bf and the two pre-ns boys!
Jem Pan's farewell party was held at Mel's place last Friday.
I don't have a chance to meet up with Jeremy He at all! :(

Today, Kian Tat and Ben went in. Didn't manage to catch KT at the ferry terminal but I sure did text him! :) Ben was late -.- Jieyi, Jem Pan, YJ and I ended up waiting one full hour at the terminal for him, we even cabbed down for fear of missing him. But I won't complain, at least I got to see Ben for a few more minutes before he moved on to serve our country.

I am really thankful for this brother, I know some of you readers must be very sick of reading this phrase "I am really thankful for (somebody)" But honestly, I am extremely touched and encouraged by this friend. His life is a living testimony of how God can soften the hardest of hearts and turning the person into someone who's really earnestly seeking His heart. I will pray for Ben everyday, that he will cling to the Cross and stay faithful. Please pray alongside with me.

Jeremy He and Jeremy Pan will be going in on Thursday. I am doubtful I will even get to meet Jer He at all la :S Ahh but I pray that these two brothers are prepared for the years ahead.

It's really painful to see close friends leaving, and I am still grappling with the fact that Ben is far away at Tekong and it will soon be Jem Pan's and Jer He's turn soon. I dislike the fact that they'll have to go through suffering and pain, but they'll definitely become stronger. Pruning to become men, hurts but is necessary.

Talking about something happier, I bumped into Brandon and his 2 younger kids this afternoon at PP macs. He brought them there for a special treat while Elaine brought Eleanor to the old folks' home. Bianca and Elkan were being kids. So adorable. Jieyi and I were practically swooning at their antics. Kids eating Big Mac & fries, firing balloons and washing little hands with soap. I really wanna have kids next time :)

So YJ, Jieyi and I were waiting at macs. And then we met up with Sheila and Jeremy Goh, and went over to the jam studio. Jem Pan joined us shortly after. We didn't really jam like Zontanos, it was extremely informal as we didn't have a good drummer (haha sorry pan!), but I still had fun nonetheless! Thank God for these people! ♥♥

I jammed with Sheila, YJ, Jem Goh and Jem Pan! :)
How can you jam without Jem(s)? (hahah sorry cold joke, I just had to add it in)

Bings lol why did you boo at me? eh, yeap I will try my best. Send you my timetable soon k!
A Yup it's my blog where I rant! :) Sorry, but who are you?
Jedi Yesssss we love iceskatinggggggggg! I really didn't expect to bump into you earlier today!! I am glad you are looking good! :)
Zhimin Yes that is me! :) I am in business studies and sometimes I'll need to dress formal for certain occasions!

I am gng to fly a kite tomorrow.
Happy!
