Tuesday, August 07, 2007 okay i know this post says its 11plus. but i`m like blogging it at 1:26am ): sigh. okay. my sergeant HUZ is waiting for me to talk to him, so i cannot spend too long a time blogging today. heres what i learnt frm my sergeant: "i am one but i am only one. i am nobody but i am somebody" after much probing, i finally coaxed huz into telling me what it meant- everyone is unique and special. that simple. no wonder he was telling me to think simple and not out of the box. today was an okay day, not bad i guess. i knw its becoming a bore to hear me say: "today was an okay day.." its always an okay day for me -.- but, forgive me la, i dunno what other words to classify the day what! hahaha went to np in the morn, was quite bbh cos mummy forgot to bring her hp -.- and i was supposed to meet her at kap to pass it to her so isaac can contact her. apparently she called me later saying she cldnt sneak out so i had to hold her phone for the entire day until i met them at the esplanade -.- and so, mummy was phone-less and had to rely on public/office phone. went to school, passed joel my camp form, passed up my iac ppt slides. yes finally i rmbed to print it. and then i left to go study at esplanade library. wasnt exactly a very fruitful study trip but at least i finsihed up going through my macro singapore economy notes. before that i had newyork newyork. my first time leh! i had the double cheese& ham sandwich, foccacia bread :D the bread was crispy, when i thought it was supposed to be soft, i guess i cant eat that after my dental appt ): good leh the food. very filling. after going through my notes i went up to the rooftop to get fresh air. sheila msged me telling me huz needed to liase w me urgently. so i was like, whoa. sounds serious. called huz, but he rejected my call cos he thought i was some person disturbing him for something. then he msged, so i told him i was his captain :D hahahhahaa! so now huz knows my number! okay. so later went downstairs to meet isaac and mummy at thai express. apparently the service there was rly bad. and we were running late alr. so we decided not to eat there cos we still had to wait for the food ); then walked to one of the stalls and bought corncup for isaac. then walked a bit further and mummy realised there was a foodcentre/'marketplace". mummy decided to have a quick bite there. had popiah :D then chionged to the concert hall for chs`s band concert. wasnt late at all, praise God! we sat down and after a while my bro suddenly exclaimed and yanked at my sleeve, and he was saying some nonsense. and i was like, WHAT?!?! cos he mentioned my cousin yishen, who`s currently in cat high, and he was like pointing somewhere in front, and i was like, where where WHERE?! then my bro said he wasnt sure if he recognised the right person. then i realised he was actually talking about the person sitting in front of mummy. and we realised that it was rly my cousin! yishen! and my mummy started talking to him, he was quite bewildered to see us there. it was a rly pleasant surprise for all of us :D okay. the concert was okay la. i had higher expectations. i cld hear some mistakes. mistakes that the untrained ear cant pick up. hahaha sorry la i knw i`m bhb but i cant help it right? i have years of experience in band. though i`m not in band anymore. and mummy said she`d loved to see me back in band, but she told me playing the guitar for me wld be good enough for her cos she knows of the physical and mental hardship i have to undergo just to play properly, and even then, i can never play as well as before. hahaha the alumni band played too. they`re not bad la :D the school symphony band`s very disciplined! i like. thats what i want to see in macpherson concert band. but its quite unlikely. the music was okay. the last song, supposedly the finale, was 'Thank you for the music' was not that fantastic cos i kept comparing them to the professional band. but good job done, cat high band members. thank you marcus for the tickets, though my sister cant make it in the end ): in the end the audience requested for encore. so the band played DANCING QUEEN, or was it called ABBA GOLD? i think its abba gold hahaha! but that was, in my opinion, the best. the music was not fantastic. but the band danced!!!!!!! literally! its all choreographed alr la. and its rly rly rly fantastically awesome! i like the part when they keep doing the wave, with their instruments. i was struck w awe la. i srsly loved it! and whats even better, they played the song w/o conductor. and then they still had to do their antics. but the conductor came back towards the end of the song cos she had to end off the song properly! i enjoyed the encore. seriously! and then, the silly audience had to ask for a second encore. actually i didnt think that the performance was that great, awesome great. but i can understand how the cat high boys in the audience will want to hear more of their band. so we had a second encore. and THE SECOND ENCORE THEY PLAYED WAS THEIR SCHOOL SONG -.- seriously! i was wondering why the audience all started standing at attn, then they started singing and i felt super overwhelmed, wow. only if macpherson band cld be like that. quite farfetched la my daydream. *snaps out of my daydream* sigh its rly been a long time since i last attended a band concert, so all the old feelings all came back to me just now. sigh i miss band. ): after the concert, mummy asked yishen how he was gona go home, cos my daddy will definitely send his nephew home, not letting him take the public transport, even though he has to go all the way to woodlands, then back to joo seng :D hahahha but i think yishen told my mummy that he was taking his friend`s car or sth. hahaha. oh well. dinnered at ichiban cos isaac literally hinted to mummy he wanted to eat there. and mummy plainly went to look at the menu w/o any qns asked. whoa. so ended up eating a very fulfilling dinner! i`m happy happy!!! :D daddy came and pick us up. i have to go to school tmr ): maec at 9am. and poa at 1pm i think! okay i`m gona get rdy to sleep. i`m kinda sleepy! ): TAG REPLIES- terence; hahahaha wonderful eh! hahaha whats wrong w being bbh? hehehe! you the moomoohead :P huz; okie dokes! why are you scared?! you shdnt be! you have a wonderful captain to guide you hehehe! :D ernest; hahahhaa its okay la! gwong told me alr. hehehe are you going? i dunno if i going leh! i needa studyyy ): janice; HAHHAHAHAA dont worry about it janice.
