i want to be more like Jesus

this is a song that i performed when i was a little girl in ascension kindergarten :D
its a very sweet song.
i still have the sound track.
and then it goes-

i want to be more like Him
because He loves me even when i`m mean
i want to be more like Him.

isnt it how wonderful God loves us no matter how mean/horrible we are towards others?
does it make you ashamed of yourself when you think of God`s unconditional love for you?
i do sometimes.
i have my fair share of dislike towards people.
and when i reflect, i feel that its wrong to have this feeling towards other because we as christians,
are supposed to set a good example for others to follow.
we shd walk in the footsteps of Christ our Lord, and not the world.
i want to be more like Jesus!
though its hard sometimes to walk in his footsteps cos He`s so blameless and pure and great,
and i, a sinner.
sigh, i find it hard to like people who are hard to like sometimes.
but i always tell myself that they are still God`s children,
and God wldnt want me to dislike the person.
its just not.. Godly.

i am very blessed to be exposed to a christian community since young.
i was put into my church kindergarten- Ascension kindergarten.
and i was also in the childcare- Ascension kindercare.
i`ve attended sunday school since young- and i still am,
and im proud to be a sunday school kid.
in primary school, i was put into a catholic school- canossa convent primary school.
one of the aunties in church had assured my mummy that its okay to put me in a catholic school.
so in ccps we have prayers every day.
except that i dont recite the Hail Mary prayer when i pray.
in secondary school i was posted to macpherson secondary school.
that is a neighbourhood school and its mixed.
it was an eye opener for me
the culture was totally different from my christian background.
i was exposed to more of the world there.
i picked up some stuff, and lost some stuff too.
but i have to thank God for constantly being w me,
for letting me have great christian friends although we`re in a neighbourhood school, and not a christian one.
friends like joe wieky, sharilyn, alicia, weiqiang, niu jin, joan tye etc.
i`m very blessed to have wieky to pray w before exams,
and he`s a great brother that God had sent me,
i can talk to him about my doubts and he has answered me to the best of his abilities.
but sadly we`re all in different schools now,but God has blessed me with different people!
sheila! my best friend. and thank jasper for sheila. thank God for sheila.
shes a wonderful sister in Christ.

other wonderful sisters i`ve met in np,
see how God has blessed me w the people surrounding me,
makes me just wanna give more glory to Him.

church today was not bad :D
sheila came to my church!
joshua met her and brought her in.
she missed the entire worship but was just in time for scripture reading and sermon.
cos she was at her church earlier for bible study.
and theres a new priest in my church :D for the chinese congregation!
and his daughter is sus`s junior!
hehehee!
wanted to/ was supposed to go for fop tonight,
but plans changed ):
wanted to visit my grandma at woodlands.
but she was out too ):
so i went home to study for my bca.
and napped too :D

tmr`s my bca test.
its from 5.20pm to 6.20pm.
im kinda nervous for it cos bca/ MS Excel isnt my forte.
but anyway prayers wld be greatly appreciated :D

and I MET JERROLD IN MACS YTD WHEN I WAS DINNERING W THE YOUTH!
oh my oh my! i havent seen him/talked to him in ages.
he`s my junior from secondary school!
and he cldnt rly recognise me too!
cos he says i look better w/o specs. *blushes
anyway its great to see him in good shape.
he cldnt believe i joined rockclimbing!
hahaha i think my mpss and ccps friends wont believe i join rc :D
they will be like, so so bewildered.
WHAT?! you mean couch potato carissa, who hate PE, is in rockclimbing?!
hahahahaha! nvm!
