Wednesday, April 04, 2007 I LOVE SPORTS CAMP! LET ME REPEAT MYSELF; I LOVE NGEE ANN POLY SPORTS CAMP 2007/2008 super fun la! i am not kidding! okay i am a spoilt brat and all, but i still enjoyed myself la! (at a SPORTS camp!) i have LOADS OF PICTURES TO LOAD! PUbin cycling and hundreds of SPORTS CAMP PHOTOS! anyway i shall blog first, and will upload pics when i have the time, i am rly tired, but i enjoyed myself thoroughly, no kidding la! SATURDAY! went to UBIN w the youth, cycled the whole island, and yes i overexerted myself ): but it was still fun okay! i am grateful to God for such wonderful people, thank you to JEROME, who helped me carry my bag, thank you to GABRIEL, for helping me pull my bke when i rly cldnt carry on, thank you to RENA and the others who gave me words of encouragement, for just being there for me, anw, we lunched at the market near the jetty, then we went to rena`s house to play! hahaha! i enjoyed my bridge game w the youth, (even thought liwei cheated my feelings countless times) rena was sweet as usual, sent me home w the rest of the youth! whe! enjoyed my day w them, i actually have alot to blog about this day, but i am tired from camp and apparently my brain isnt functioning properly, just like how my brain was fried and cldnt think on sat too! got home to pack my bag for sports camp. got clothes frm sharilyn and passed her a blouse too, SUNDAY! good daddy sent me to NP, he wanted to go sixth avenue to have breakfast, i was so afraid i wld be late for camp, but luckily, i wasnt, daddy was so sure that i cld reach NP in 5 minutes, so we left the coffeeshop ard 7minutes b4 i was supposed to report, yes i wasnt late, but i had to struggle to carry my bag up, and whats worse is SHEILA WAS ALRDY IN THE HALL AND SHE CLDNT COME AND MEET ME! so i had to queue up myself. and later after i registered, a certain guy called shaun (who turned out to be one of my GLs) led me into the hall to my grp. met the rest of my group, short introductions and they continued their ice-breakers (: my group is CZUMS! (not pronounced as SEE-ZAMS but KOO-riash) the theme for camp is TRIBAL (: hahhaha! we have the most unique name and i like my group very much, the wonderfully respected leaders; CGL; Luo JiePing (she is a super good leader and very nice too!) GLs; Joyce Li (also a super nice girl), Shaun (that super thoughtful one!), Bruno (one super funny guy, he is super strong too!), Henry (another super funny one, and he`s the one who took alot of photos, besides jp and random pics frm bruno -.-) Andreas (quiet but super nice when he talks, thoughtful and kinda funny too! HE IS ALWAYS TGT W BRUNO FOR SOME REASONS! apparently theres a threesome between them and whoever), Karmen (she is one super funny and sweet girl, also the first one to compliment me on my rosy cheeks urgh) - i love my GLs (: (: they are super super fun okay! and the guys are super nice too! after camp rules and all, and blah blah and more introductions to more impt people (:, we moved on to games, which required some running, and apparently my leg was hurting frm cycling the day before, so i told my GLs that i wld not be able to run, (due to malfunction of brain, sequence of events may not be accurate) first stop; VOLLEYBALL! i got hit many many times by the ball, but its minor, and GAH i got hit rly bad by the volleyball 3 times, despite henry`s countless times to protect me from the ball, i got HIT STRAIGHT IN THE FACE! gah that rly hurt! then later henry stood in front of me to help catch the balls. 2nd stop; TOUCH RUGBY! girls were separated frm the guys and yes i enjoyed touch rugby very much, BUT BUT BUT! i fell down okay! BAABAAHEAD! and scraped my knee (scratches on my left and huge bruise on right) joyce came to pick me up while the girls were crowding nearby, karmen brought me to wash my scraped knees, went to jieping and henry who were standing nearby taking care of stuff, got to know my GLs abit more! happy happy! okay after this i dont rly rmb what happened, we went to floorball? and i got smacked by a fellow team-mate who accidentally swung her stick too hard at my poor left thumb, i guess i was rly accident prone that day )): we went to some outward bound thing where we had to cross an acidic river and a wall, had fun! (: and i guess we also went to the canoeing thinggi at the pool? gah i rly cannot recall the sequence, the first day was kinda sad, cos our team wasnt bonded enough ): plus my muscle aches were rly painful. and bathing facilities were horrible! prolly cause i was one of the last few who bathed, MONDAY! woke up early and sports camp had to go do morning PT, i didnt do cos it involved JOGGING AROUND THE ENTIRE CAMPUS, so i stayed behind w this nice first-aider (who was actually the PRESIDENT OF SSC) winston who gave me good muscle ache cream plus good spray for my poor bruise! during one entangling game and others i kept sitting down ): my thigh muscles rly very baabaa la! it seemed like my muscles were addicted to the cream cos i had to apply it between hours, baabaa thigh muscles, went dragonboating! at kallang river! i guessed correctly! i rly had fun rocking the boat, but i guess i put too much sunblock on my face that it stung my eyes ): ahahahas. later we had night activities, my thigh gave problems as usual, had to be piggy-backed once, or else i wld be sitting down and talking to one of the GLs or helpers, even though i was kinda disabled that day, i still enjoyed myself alot, despite getting splashed countless times, and i had to hobble behind w joyce to look after me while the rest of CZUMS jogged on, BAH i was saying how i felt like some old lady who needs aid in her walking, luckily CZUMS and GLs were all very understanding! we sailed through stations w little difficulty, and though we kinda got reprimanded by the CC for something, - and finally our last station was at the rooftop of a certain building, i was walking at my comfortable pace when everyone else stopped and i was wondering why- then henry shouted my name, and asked me to step out, apparently we had to climb about 7 storeys to get to the roof, and everyone thought i wld not be able to take it, so kind Bruno and Andreas stayed back w me to take turns to piggyback me, Henry stayed to hold the empty waterbags i was carrying and to aid ard, was first piggybacked by Andreas up ard halfway. then Bruno carried me all the way to the last floor, and i climbed to the roof myself, i regret not climbing slowly, cos i rushed up, and later while we were sitting i was feeling the pain, pain pain pain! -.- the scenery was breathtaking actually, and the air was rly nice, i mentioned i was afraid of heights, so this guy beckoned me to him, so i went towards him, and he led me to the side of the building, and pushed my head downwards gently, but silly me, i screamed, call me baabaahead, whatever! then they laughed at me -.- i walked down the stairs myself, w the rest of the guys beside and behind me, and halfway thru i cldnt take it anymore, Bruno wanted me to get on his shoulders, but i had to remind him that i was afraid of heights and blah blah, so he piggybacked me down the rest of the flight, i looked down and saw CZUMS looking at the "tall" me coming down the stairs, in the end, i took the lorry w karmen and some other casualties, met the rest of CZUMS for supper and all, happy thing; THE TOILETS WERE CLEAN! and thats prolly because the GLs aided and i was one of the first to bathe! wheeee! discussed more about campfire night presentation, i was gona be the narrator! wheeee! they made me scream "HENRY IS SO HANDSOME" to test my voice, and it was in the middle of the night?!?! TUESDAY! plans changed and i was made the princess, w HAO as the prince, anyway thats for later. PT wasnt so strenous that day, i rested a bit la, and the rest ran abt 1/3 of the school, and darren wasnt feeling too well too so we went w karmen to the "sick bay" in the end darren went home, and Karmen and i went to eat breakfast, and we had "sports day" CZUMS and the other 7 grps were splitted into 4/5 groups (i forgot) and i chose to go volleyball to support them, it was a good choice, cos eventually we won, theres supposed to be 6 players, but since i cldnt play, and there were only 5 (4G1B) so henry and shaun had to take turns playing, and i was their sole "cheerleader" the weather was bad actually, we only continued sports day after lunch. after everything we practised our skit, and the skit turned out very nice actually! i shall blog about it tmr or what w the photos, i am sleeeeeeepy.
